Got questions? We've got answers!
HOW DO I BOOK YOUR TEAM FOR A SHOOT OR WEDDING?
For weddings: We know that one of the most important parts of our client experience (and why we've never received less than five stars in a review) is the acknowledgement that every wedding is different. We know you need a real conversation with a real person who has years of experience in the wedding industry in order to make a decision about your package with us. We want you to know that we can offer insight about your photo and video needs that a cookie cutter pricing page will not. To reach out to us and schedule that meeting, fill out the form on this page. Once we know what all you need to include in your wedding photography and/or video package, we'll send over a personalized contract for you to sign. With the completion of a signed contract and deposit from you, we are all set and your date will be reserved! Additionally, we will gift you some incredible tools to help you in the planning process. For every wedding inquiry, Rachel White will be your booking coordinator and she will create your photography/videography timeline with you. She will also complete your edits, ensuring that you have a seamless, consistent, and unforgettable client experience from start to finish!
For portraits: Email us by going to the portfolio page (in the website menu) that pertains to the type of photography or video that you need, fill out the form and submit it. From there, a team member will email you pricing info and get more information from you about your needs. To reserve your session date, you will complete a signed agreement and a deposit for us.
DO YOU OFFER WEDDING OR PORTRAIT FILMS?
Yes we do! To inquire about film services, fill out the questionnaire on this page.
WHEN DO I RECEIVE MY PHOTOGRAPHS AND/OR FILM(VIDEO)?
For weddings: You'll receive your beautiful memories within 12 weeks of your wedding date. However, we also offer a "sneak peek gallery" where you will get 10+ preview photos or a short video clip within a week after your special day! We know just how badly you want to post your wedding photos on Instagram, and who are we to make you wait??
For portrait sessions: After our session, we guarantee you'll receive your photos and/or video in just six weeks. We know that sometimes you need to receive them sooner for things like sending out Save the Dates or to meet a yearbook deadline. If this is the case, just let us know and we will try to complete them earlier for you. If you are ordering prints, you will get a speedy delivery! On Pic-time, our photo gallery service, you just need to select the shipping option that suits your needs the best.
DO YOU EDIT ALL THE PICTURES AND VIDEO YOU GIVE US? AND CAN I PURCHASE THE UNEDITED PHOTOS?
Rest assured we fully edit your photos and film (video)! We want every visual you receive from us to be the best it possibly can be. You'll get some copies in black and white, but most of them in color. We spend literally hours pouring over your images and truly edit them with you in mind. If you want all of your unedited pictures, you are welcome to purchase the RAWs from us (video and photos). If you are interested in this, let us know! (*RAWs are legally for printing use only based on your signed contract and they cannot be shared online. This is because they do not reflect the true value of our work without the full-scale editing process applied.)
HOW DO I RECEIVE MY IMAGERY?
We have two options for you. The first is a beautiful online gallery where the link is dropped straight into your inbox. These images are all high resolution. (meaning you can blow them up literally a big as the walls in your home!) The second options is a high res-thumb drive sent by mail (This is an easy way to store your pictures and it comes in the cutest little package). You'll also receive the online gallery in your inbox with this. With either choice, you get sixty to seventy-five images per hour (when two photographers are present).
WHY DO PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHERS/FILM-MAKERS CHARGE SO MUCH?
We're so glad you asked! First, allow us to list of business expenses that we pay: (a) using the best possible equipment; (b) equipment upkeep of cleaning and calibration; (c) monthly business insurance; (d) gas to and from shoots and general car upkeep such as oil changes, new tires, and car insurance; (e) monthly editing software fees; (f) editing presets; (g) photoshoot props; (h) business license filings; (h) meals for our team members before or after a wedding or session; (i) work cell phone bills; (j) high speed internet for our offices; (k) our online photo delivery service; (l) our website subscription; (m) our social media scheduling post service; (n) hi-res thumb drives for you to store your photos and video on pre-markup; and (o) marketing for the company, which can amount to thousands of dollars per year depending on the need. You can see from this list that the total we pay to upkeep this business in a professional manner is vast! Not to mention our team members must be (and certainly deserve to be) paid a living wage for their artistic talents. We also should mention that if the total expenses for the year don't add up to 30% of our total business income, we pay the rest in taxes based on GA state laws.
When you work with an artist who has been in the field for years, you are not only paying for their time and expenses, but you are also paying for their expertise. When you encounter an artist who is offering photography packages at hundreds of dollars lower than ours, (and we should mention that our rates are quite reasonable based on the industry and inflation) then there is a reason for it! You could hire someone with very little experience, a dated photography style, or who lacks the proper legal business filings, equipment, and insurance, leaving you unprotected--and who may or may not deliver. Or you could hire our very experienced and professional team! Each of our lead photographers and film-makers is a talented, well-trained individual who has years of experience in the field. You can trust any Papillon Visuals artist to handle your day with care. From family interactions to rainy days, you are most definitely in good hands.
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR TEAM'S PHOTOGRAPHY STYLE?
We offer the elegance and nostalgia of film with the reliability of digital cameras--a rare find. We believe this is worth paying the extra dollar for! A lot of other available editing styles will be obsolete in a few years because they are strictly based on current wedding photography trends, but the one thing in photography that will always be timeless is film photography. To sum up, the photos you receive from us will always be timeless because they look like film.
CAN I GET A WEDDING ALBUM AND/OR PRINTS FROM YOU?
Absolutely. One of our favorite parts of the photo process is helping you order your prints and physical photo album through your online gallery. (Pic-time) We have some incredible options available for you and it is very easy to use. The prints, canvases, greeting cards, and albums that are available to you through the gallery are quite affordable. Additionally, they are created by small businesses who have a specialization in each product you will be ordering. Do us the honor of purchasing your prints and album with us and let us help you create your visual legacy through prints--we promise you won't be disappointed. (As of 2021, it is part of both our portrait agreement and wedding photography agreement that our clients order their prints and products through their Papillon online gallery.)
DO YOU EVER TRAVEL?
We have been all over the world for weddings! The furthest we've been so far is Norway in 2018. Contact us to learn more about our travel rates and we will do a custom quote for you based on your budget (if possible).
WHAT IS THE PROCESS FOR PAYMENT?
For weddings: The first third of your total package is due at the time of booking. This secures your wedding date with us and is non-refundable and non-transferrable. The final two thirds are due four weeks before your wedding. We take multiple different payment methods for weddings and we'll let you know what they are when you book.
For portrait sessions not attached to a wedding package: The first half of your total package is due at the time of booking. This secures your portrait session date with us and is non-refundable and non-transferrable. The final half is due the evening before your session.
CAN I SHARE THE PICTURES AND FILM ONLINE?
Nothing makes us happier than to see our work being loved and shared by YOU! Our day has been made countless times just by going on Instagram only to find that we have been tagged in a post by our client with their pictures along with a few kind words! Just be sure to never edit them (crop or filter, etc.) in any way and always give us photo credit! (*this is legally required per our photography contract)
For wedding videos, we will share them for you on each social media site and then you can re-share from our pages! (per our contractual agreement)

WHAT SHOULD I/WE WEAR FOR OUR PORTRAIT OR VIDEO-FILM SESSION?
Check out our style guide by clicking here.
IF WE NEED YOU TO STAY LONGER AT OUR WEDDING OR SESSION, IS THAT AN OPTION?
This is only an option in certain circumstances. It is rare that we can stay past the time that was agreed upon originally. Let your lead wedding or session photographers and film-maker know as soon as you think you may want more time coverage. They will then discuss this with their assistant(s) to make sure that it works for all involved. (and that we don't have a prior planned engagement to get to) *Keep in mind that all time after what was previously agreed upon is an additional cost and no photos from the event or session can be released until the invoice is completed!
